This event "is an early-winter bird census, where thousands of volunteers across the U.S., Canada, and many countries in the Western Hemisphere go out over a 24-hour period on one calendar day to count birds." - LINK
We have be asked to join an experienced birder in covering Area 8 WEST, roughly the area between Valley Creek and Tumwater Creek. We will be driving between walking trails.
REQUIREMENTS & REQUESTS:
Binoculars would be extremely helpful but not required, the group has a collection of 3 pairs of binoculars and one scope. If you can't make the event but have a pair of binoculars we could borrow please contact Anna @ BIPoC + Pride Outdoors.
Time-frame - this is a long event. Please come prepared with warm clothes that can keep you dry as well as sturdy shoes you can walk up to 2 miles in. Participating in the event from a vehicle is an option, walking is NOT REQUIRED.
